IFPTE Applauds Senate Passage of Legislation to block Trump Tariffs on Canada

After endorsing legislation last week sponsored by Senator Tim Kaine (D, VA) aimed at blocking the Trump tariffs on Canada, a bipartisan majority of Senator’s voted to pass the legislation this week. 

IFPTE President Matt Biggs applauded its passage saying that, “it is nice to see that there is a core group of Senators on both sides of the aisle that understand how truly reckless the tariffs on Canada will be not only for businesses, but most importantly the negative impacts on working families on both sides of the border.”  See the AP article here.
