NPEU Welcomes Two New Groups to the IFPTE Family

The Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU/IFPTE Local 70) announced that workers at the New American Leaders and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc (CLINIC) have joined the Local. New American Leaders agreed to voluntarily recognize the union, while the CLINIC staff have requested that their employer do the same.

The staff union of the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF) filed for a union election with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) after President Eleanor Smeal and Executive Director Katherine Spillar refused to voluntarily recognize the union.

Organizing Update: New American Leaders Staff Unionizes with NPEU

The Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU/IFPTE Local 70) welcomed the staff at New American Leaders (NAL) to the Local's growing family of nonprofit workers. The NAL Workers United staff made a formal request to NAL management for voluntary recognition on September 8, and looks forward to reaching a formal agreement.
