“Its Better In a Union” - IFPTE Joins the AFL-CIO, Labor Movement for Its Bus Tour Kickoff Celebration

Led by AFL-CIO President, Liz Shuler, Secretary-Treasurer, Fred Redmond, and several labor leaders across sectors, including IFPTE President, Matt Biggs, the American labor movement kicked off the “It’s Better In a Union” Bus Tour this week in Washington, DC.

The kickoff was coordinated with the AFL-CIO Summer meetings and is intended to build worker power nationwide by spanning the nation to meet with and listen to working families about the bread-and-butter issues of importance to them.

The theme of the nationwide tour is “Freedom, Fairness and Security”, in which labor will visit congressional districts and demand the freedom to organize Unions, and an economy that invests in workers, not billionaires.  To see the kickoff ceremony, click here, and to join the bus tour and learn of the stops, click here.
