Local 86 Members Ratify New Three-Year Contract
After many months of negotiations, IFPTE Local 86 members ratified a new contract earlier this week. The contract, negotiated by Local 86 president, Debra O’Leary, was subsequently signed by management.
O’Leary, who has worked diligently throughout last year to complete the contract, commented: “The path to completing this contract has been long and unusual, but the hard work and time spent on coming to an agreement has been well worth it. While we didn’t get everything we aimed for, we got the lion’s share of it, including a more liberal teleworking policy, which will benefit many of our rank-and-file here in the local Corps District. At the end of the day, this is a win for our members, and helped improve our already strong working partnership with our local management.”
Congratulations Local 86!
